Guy Moonan Woods

Guy has been in the trade since he was sixteen, first studying the craft back in his native England. Having transitioned out of his family’s jewelry business, he soon found his passion in the cabinet trade and has never looked back .
In 2001 and after having immigrated to Vancouver a few years prior, Guy made the bold move to start his own business, naming the company Tattershalls after a favorite grandfather.
Since its inception, Tattershalls has exceeded Guy’s expectations by becoming a leading name in Canada within its industry.
Guy's fine talent and reputation has not gone unnoticed. The British Antique Furniture Restorers' Association (BAFRA) invited Guy to become a overseas member, a much privileged request that he gratefully accepted.
Family History
The Woods family has been in the jewelry, Cabinet Making and Fine art professions since the 1850s. Jewelry was the main trade for the family during the last century.
The family business was stablished at 12 Frith St Soho, and Diamond House, Hatton Garden, London.
Guy’s apprenticeship was undertaken at Dades, Surrey, England, under Basil Kedwell, where he worked for the leading London, UK Trade. After his apprenticeship, he struck out on his own, working for the local and London Trade.
An opportunity arose that enabled Guy to move to Vancouver B.C. He jumped at the chance to establish himself in Canada and since then his family have come to love British Columbia and all the outdoor pursuits it has to offer.
For his first initial five years in BC, Guy worked with R.H.V Tee and sons. After R.H.V. Tee, Guy set up Tattershalls. Guy has now worked his Trade successfully for over thirty eight years.
